Life Updates Part 2 | Getting my first PopMart Set, TV season, Halloween festivities | August - October 2025

August:

• Civic holiday weekend! Went to Fat Bastard and grabbed dinner with my sister. I got the loaded nachos while my sister got the chicken quesadilla. 

• Purchased my first full set series from PopMart—Nyota Seasons (such as beautiful set 😭. The illustrations on the card reminds me of a children picture book).

•

   Fun fact: paper towels at Costco were 50% off from $27 CAD to $13 CAD and I tried the new coconut lime summer drink from Starbucks (tasted like bubblegum—refreshing).

• Things I watched this month: Survivor AU vs the World Season 11 (my first Survivor AU season—highly recommend if you love Survivor US! 🌴), My Life with the Walter Boys Season 2, The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3. 

• Completed book number 4! Excited for people to read it! ✨

• Aug 31st: Hobonichi day! Got my weeks planner and a 5-year techno—hoping to turn it into a manifestation/gratitude journal, documenting my manifestation journey.   
  

September:

• It's labor day—had a chill and a relaxing weekend with my family. Had some BBQ (beef, salmon, shrimp, and roasted veggies). 

• Tuned into Nintendo Direct—ecstatic for the new Fire Emblem game: Fortune's Weave!

• Things I watched this month: Dancing with the Stars Season 37 (rooting for Whitney and Robert! 🐨), Survivor 49 and the Amazing Race European Adventures. 

• As the season is starting to change, a lot of people at work were starting to get sick. Drank lots of water🥤. 

• Had a few depressive episodes—got back on track by working on my mindset. 

October:

Butter Pecan Tarts

• Moon cake festival was approaching—my mom made homemade moon cakes and had a family dinner. 

• Received the news that I was let go from my part-time contract work—Telus International—however, kinda of feeling grateful since I have more time to explore other work and hobbies in my free time.

• Fun fact: Had my first homemade crunchy tacos.

• Things I watched this month: YuYu Hakusho, Frieren and Traitors Canada

• Spent Thanksgiving day working and visited my grandma's newly renovated house—a little sad since I grew up in that house and the house has been put up for sale. 

• Went to my first dental appointment since 2019—the dentist was super surprised that my teeth were in good condition with little to no build up. 

• Visited my grandma and grandpa's grave. 

• Halloween at my company felt very festive. It was cool seeing everyone's costumes from Spiderman to Tanjiro from Demon Slayer 🎃.
